Khan's Cave Asian Tavern & Grill: A Culinary Gem in San Diego

Love this place. We went there at their happy hour time, all the appetizers and drinks are in really good prices! We had a dumplings sampler, pork belly buns, fried Chinese veggies, and a naan. I recommend their dumplings sampler the most, so delicious. The pork belly buns are yummy as well. Plus their service is so awesome. I really feel they are so nice and friendly.

Delicious dinner at Khan’s Cave! There is a really vibrant and fun atmosphere as well as a dog friendly patio. We ordered the sole fillet, beef chow fun, and pork bbq sliders and everything tasted great. The staff are all very friendly and provide quick service. Highly recommend!

Stopped in for late lunch today based on good reviews here and elsewhere. They are correct! I really liked my lunch and the place. They have a lunch menu which doesn't show up on their website. I had shrimp with lobster sauce from it. It's sometimes a bland dish but here full of flavor. Not lobster-y, but very shrimp-y. Yum. There were over a dozen medium shrimp, very nicely seasoned. For 13 dollars, a bargain and I was very full. The dish did not come with vegetables beyond some cubed carrots and peas in the rice so the server added some broccoli at my request for no extra charge. Little dribbles of sriracha and homemade chili-garlic sauce served on the side were a treat but not necessary. The service was peppy and friendly. The decor is quite dated but clean and not unattractive. Toilet in the men's room very clean. Not-annoying retro muzak. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area again.

We went here for happy hour and it was great. Drinks are strong, food appetizers very tasty and atmosphere is nice inside and outside. Seating is also comfy and suitable for kids.

We had happy hour appetizers, my favorite was the chicken lettuce wraps. Very good choice and prices. The walnut shrimp was delicious, they used good quality shrimp. Mango sorbet was to die for, but tiramisu was frozen and not so great. Service was attentive, thank you very much.

Calamari was delicious, prepared nicely. The fish & chips along with the salad was delicious. The dumplings were ok. The tequila sunrise hit the spot. It's a nice place considering it's in a strip mall. Worth a trip.

I've been to this place twice, and had a great experience both times. Food is great, and in my opinion fairly authentic. Customer service was excellent. They have a full bar, and plenty of parking.

Most people think this is just a bar... but they have a killer menu and awesome service. Glad i work nearby again... always one of my favs for lunch! (and a drink )
